Day by Day Itinerary:
Day 1 / Sat: Departure from home country

Day 2 / Sun: Arrival / Yerevan city tour
(Duration – 4-5 hours / Breakfast Only)

Arrival at the Zvartnots airport. Meet and greet transfer, accommodation at the hotel.
10:00      In the morning meet your tour guide and start city tour around Yerevan.
Visit Tsitsernakaberd. Walking through Memorial park and visit museum of the
victims of Genocide.
14:00      Lunch time
Visit Vernisage flea market, the place to get a little taste of Armenia, to see the fusion
between national traditions, art & crafts with contemporary taste.
Visit fruit market and Cafesjian Show Room.
Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.  
 Day 3 / Mon: Yerevan / Garni / Geghard / Lake Sevan
(Duration ~ 6-7hours/ Breakfast Only)
09:00       Drive to Geghard monastery inscribed in UNESCO World Heritage list. Geghard monastery is the unsurpassable masterpiece of the 13th century Armenian architecture.
Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. The complex is
rich in subtle sculptural embellishments and many striking khachkars (cross-stones).
Departure to Garni Temple. Garni temple which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. After adopting Christianity in 301 the pagan temple lost its significance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings.
13:00       Lunch time
Departure to Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater alpine mountain lakes in the world. The beautiful landscape and the crystal water serve nice preconditions for excellent rest. Visit Sevanavank Monastery. Return to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan. (B/--/--)
Day 4 / Tue: Yerevan / Khor Virap / Etchmiadzin / Zvartnots

09:00         Sightseeing tour to Khor-Virap monastery the importance of which is connected with Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity to Armenia. It is a wonderful masterpiece situated on top of a hill. The monastery looks like a castle where everybody has the hint to sit and dream while admiring the beauty of the church. The highlight is the stunning view to the biblical Mt. Ararat.
Drive to Echmiadzin – the place where the only Begotten descended. Holy Echmiadzin is the  whole Armenians’ spiritual center and one of the centers of Christianity all over the world.
13:00       Lunch time
Return to Yerevan with a stop at the ruins of Zvartnots temple - the pearl of the 7th century architecture which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 6 / Thu: Yerevan / Armenia/Georgia Sadakhlo border / Tbilisi Sightseeing
08:00       Transfer to Sadakhlo border.
Meet Georgian guide. Transfer to Tbilisi.
13:30      Lunchtime
14:30      Today we will explore the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Wonder in the old districts of the city which are structured like terraces, as well as take a walk in the narrow streets to enjoy colorful houses, patterned balconies and wonderful samples of modern architecture. We will start the tour from Metekhi church (13th century)facing the magnificent views over old Tbilisi. A stroll along winding little streets takes us to the main sights of the city. Afterwards we enjoy the panoramic views of the whole town and through the ancient Narikala fortress (4th century), find ourselves in the historical domed sulphur bath area- connected with the name of our city. Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi. (B/-/-)
Day 7/ Fri: Tbilisi / Mtskheta / Gelati / Kutaisi
(Duration ~9 hours Breakfast & Dinner)
09:00         We drive to visit the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta (3000 years old) and see its historical places: Jvari church (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) where the Robe of Christ is buried. Both Jvari and Svetitskhoveli are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
13:00       Lunch time
Drive to Imereti province (West Georgia), which is very different from Kartli province (East Georgia) with its cool springs, green fields and beautiful gardens. Visit the pretty town of Kutaisi, the second largest in the country (antique town more than 3000 years old) and its historical places: Gelati Cathedral (12th century, UNESCO) – one of the earliest academies in Europe, and the splendid Bagrati Cathedral (11th century). Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse in Kutaisi with private facilities.(B/-/D)
Day 8/ Sat: Kutaisi / Gori / Uplistsikhe / Tbilisi

09:00         In the morning we will drive to visit the town of Gori and its historical place: Uplistsikhe Cave Town (1st millennium BC). Uplistsikhe is the place where the Great Silk Road
used to pass. This is an old and interesting complex with dwelling quarters, wine-cellars, bakeries, a three-nave basilica church hewn out in rock and even an antic theatre. Photo Stop at Stalin`s house.

Afterwards drive back to Tbilisi. Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi. (B/-/-)

Day 5:
(Duration - 6 hours)

Yerevan / Ashtarak / Hovhannavank / Amberd / Yerevan
Departure to Ashtarak (meaning "Tower" in Armenian), spread above the gorge of the Kasagh river. Visit Karmravor, a charming little church in Ashtarak, the only one in Armenia preserved with its original roofing.
Drive to Hovannavank, the Armenian Apostolic church monastery situated at the deep canyon of Ashtarak. It is dedicated to John the Baptist, whom 
Armenians venerate as their patron-saint. Drive to Amberd, which was built in the 11th to 13th centuries. Having been built on a naturally well-defended cape, Amberd has served as an important military fort. Next to this secular edifice there is a church built in 1026 by the duke Vahram Pahlavuni. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.
NOTE*: Amberd fortress is accessible from end of May to end of October.

Day 5:

Wine tour in Aragatsotn region/Letter park / Armas winery / Mughni
The day starts with a drive to Aragatsotn region to visit “Armenian Alphabet Monument’’ or the Letter Park, which represents giant stone letters dedicated to the founder of Armenia's alphabet, M. Mashtots. Set against the backdrop of Armenia's Mt. Aragats, it is a favorite photo stop for all visitors. Proceed to ArmAs Estate that prides for its high quality wine production of various types.  Wine degustation with lunch. Continue to Mughni Monastery dating back  to the 14th c. which stands out for its rich architectural decorations and religious frescos. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight at the hotel in Yerevan.

Day 10:
(Duration - 7-8 hours)

The Great Caucasus
In the morning we drive up the famous Georgian Military Highway (leading to the Georgian-Russian border). On the way visit Ananuri architectural complex (17th century), the two churches and the fortress overlook the Zhinvali water reservoir. The carvings on the churches are one of the best samples of the Georgian art. The drive is very scenic through high Caucasus Mountains. Arrive in Kazbegi - the main town in the region. From Kazbegi a leisurely 2 hours walk up through beautiful valleys and woodland leads us to Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m. Weather permitting you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m). We walk back to the town and drive back to Tbilisi.

Day 10:

 Wine Tour
In the morning we drive to Kakheti region well known for its wine producing. First we visit fortified town of Sighnaghi (18th century). The town preserved its original image and now offers visitors stunning views of the surrounding Caucasus Mountains. Then drive to visit a farmer`s house to see a unique 300 year-old wine-cellar. You get acquainted with the Georgian "Qvevri" way of wine making method (inscribed in UNESCO intangible cultural heritage), quite different from the European one and drink typical Georgian wine straight from the clay jars. For lunch we take you at a local family, where you`ll try homemade delicious food and wine. Here you`ll see how Georgian Shashlik is made. Afterwards continue to visit Gremi Architectural Complex (16th century) with its museum (closed on Mondays) and return to Tbilisi.
